Can you apply an oil stain over an acrylic stain?

Oil stains are mostly semi-transparents


And acylic stains are solid colors (Like A Paint)


The answer would depend on whether or not u want the wood grain to be seen or not. Regardless u are going to need to strip that oil stain from the wood surface
