Nothing bad will happen if you paint the housing. Even the circuitry can be painted, if you really wanted to get into it.Can I use acrylic craft paint to paint on my laptop (not the keys)?
Be careful to clean whatever surface your are painting first. I'd say regular ol' IPA will work without damaging the surface.
It's going to chip off. You may want to use a sealer or some kind of overcoat.
