I saw this Oceanic 72 gallon bowfront at Petsmart for only $799. It comes with tank, stand, glass lid and lights.
I was just wondering if all bowfront are acyrlic cuz i remember reading somewhere that they are.
thank youAre bowfront aquariums always acrylic?
they make glass bowfronts.shop around.check marineland/perfecto and all glass aquarium brands.now you say petsmart has a 72 gallon for 799? thats TOO MUCH MONEY for that tank and what you get with it.that does'nt include tax either.the light is probably 1 standard florescent, and the stand is'nt made of pine wood.glass doors most likely.these tanks generally are somewhat more expensive.i'd go with a rectangular tank.799 does'nt sound like a good price to me at all.you could get a larger tank for that much,in rectagular style.i don't mean to be negative, part of our job is to help people get the most for their money and succeed in this hobby.which has a high dropout rate. Are bowfront aquariums always acrylic?
Nope...
All Glass Aquariums makes a sweet 72 glass bow and a 46 and a 26 to name a few.
People will argue which is better but it's really up to you...
I prefer glass bow tanks....but have seen nice acrylics.
Acrylic will be alot lighter to lift thats for sure.....but I hate plastic.
bow front just means that the front is in a curved shape that slightly magnifies the fish inside. that type of tank, like any tank shape can be made of either glass or accryilic. generaly accryilic is better, but its more expensive
no not always,
