Acrylic as a medium?

I had to do a gallery visit for art class and fill out this questionnare. One question was did the medium match the message and explain. Acrylic was the medium, but I don't really understand the question. any help?Acrylic as a medium?
You're only seeing part of the question. The medium could be more broad, such as paint or painting. The message may have to do with the individual artist and the body of work. For instance, did you view a body of works that dealt with a specific subject? Or did you see a variety of works by a variety of artists in a show that was juried around a particular theme or concept?

If so, how did the work, the artist convey the message? Was the medium the message? Or was the medium a catalyst or vehicle to carry the message?

Hope that helps get you started.Acrylic as a medium?
Basically, could the subject matter have been portrayed in a better manner?

For example, would a sculpture have been more fitting?

I'm thinking they want you to expand your thoughts to see that different art forms may be more appropriate for different subjects.
I interpret the question as asking ';Do you think that the message was succesfully portrayed by using this medium.'; If you think it was succesful using that medium then explain why.
